When I do a simple search for a picture or audio file on my computer, it results in multiple copies of the same file with the same extension and location. How can I print and post a screen print to demonstrate. Could it have something to do with the Users Accounts on my computer? Do I have to go in and delete all the duplicates, YIKES! The computer is slow for it's age and specs. When I right click on a file to send or copy or move, it can take a minute or more. Sometimes I don't get anything when right clicking. Thanks in advance.

The easiest way to use prt scrn is after hitting the print screen button, go into MS Paint. Ctrl V for paste, or use the edit->paste. Then save the image as a bmp, jpeg or gif. You can attach the image to your post or host it online somewhere like photobucket or imageshack.

Thanks ElonOF06. Here's the screen capture of the search I just did for one particular picture on my computer. Why is there three images found in the search each with the same source, same time and same name? This happens for any searches I do. It must have something to do with User Accounts. I'm the only one who uses this computer. We are networked at home and at the office. Would that cause multiple files? Attached is the screen print. I hope I did it right![/img]

Close! Take out the / in the first img tag and you get Posted Image

There's also a IMG tag line on photobucket that you can directly copy and paste which already includes the appropriate [ img]...[ /img]

Hello gcsings,

Try turning off Indexing on the C: drive/partition (assuming the search is being performed on that drive/partition).

In My Computer, right-click the C: drive and select Properties from the menu. Then uncheck "Allow Indexing Service to index this disk for fast file searching". When prompted, allow this change to affect C: and all subfolders -- this may take a while. When that is done, try the search (the one that returned the duplicates) again.
