Whenever I try to open internet explorer, it will not open. Also, if I go to the control panel under internet options, I cannot open it up to change the settings.

Hi mtolifso,

Are you using FF to talk to us? Which version of IE are you using? What updates do you have for it? When did it stop working? Have you made any changes to your computer lately? Downloaded anything?

There's a repair for Internet Explorer, but I believe it has to open to run the repair. I don't recommend that you go to InternetExplorer 8 yet, as there are still a lot of people having trouble with it. What happens if you go into your i386 files under C:\Windows\Service Pack Files\i386 and find the copy of Internet Explorer there. Click on the i386 folder to open it and scroll down the right side of Windows Explorer until you come to the Internet Explorer logo. If you double-click on that, does it open?

Does your computer have SP3?
