About 6 months ago, my Norton Antivirus would periodically turn off automatically (especially the internet worm protection) and ask me to renew. It also appeared that someone had removed me as administrator of the computer (at one point I was told that I was not allowed to renew Norton). I installed Avira Antivrus, Ad-aware, Malewarebytes, Spywareblaster and ZoneAlarm to counter the problem. My Adobe Acrobat was acting up too. About a month ago I received a pop-up from Avira stating that "HTML/Crypted.Gen [virus]" was found in "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\13NAEZ95\02[1].htm" and another stating that "EXP/RealPlay.AQ [exploit]" in "C:Windows\Temp\SOS1BB.tmp" and another stating that "HTML/Maliscious.ActiveX.Gen" at "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\DTPFNKHO\index" After that, I could not update any of my antivirus or malware programs. They all went non-responsive when scanning "Windows\Temp\SOS90.tmp" One day, I opened my internet browser and the homepage was Google (Philipines). I unhooked my internet cable, started my PC in safe mode and ran all my programs. Several prolems were located and deleted. I have not used my PC since, until now.

Hi,

Are you able to check malwarebytes for updates and do a scan with it.? Can you update your AV ok now? Still getting redirected to other websites. What the status of your situation now, better, same or worse?
