A few weeks ago, Trend Micro notified me that it had put a file titled "fccbATjh.dll" in quarantine, and I was told by a friend that meant it was inactive on my computer, would not cause further harm while it was in quarantine, and could be deleted later on after a Trend Micro update. Well, that hasn't happened, and this morning I woke up to see the alert "Computer virus found" rather than the usual alerts I was getting about it having been quarantined and recommending I delete it. I understand that it is running when I start up the computer and that is why I cannot delete the awful thing. Before now, my computer really has not been extremely slow, but it is today.

I tried to restart in Safe Mode using the F8 approach but was not able to; the F8 got no response. I know there must be other means of restarting in Safe Mode, but I am not computer-savy to ANY extent and do not want to do something even more stupid when I do not know what I am doing.

I am a student who is desperate for help. I need this computer for school, and it is refusing to load PDF pages and do other things that I need it to do. This is my first Hijack This log, so understanding what to do with a log is entirely foreign to me. Please be as clear as possible; don't assume I'm intelligent here. ;) Please, please help asap.

I hope that I do not need to post an attachment of this log, as my computer isn't even responding when I click the Browse button to find a file. Please note the problem with attachments. :thumbup2:

The problem is fixed. I just needed help faster than can be managed here... you're busy with many other logs and computer issues; I totally understand. :thumbup2: Good luck to anyone else suffering from the problem.
