I am currently going through the hassle of uninstalling BitDefender. I originally tried to uninstall through the control panel>uninstall programs, but it gave me an error message; "a network error occured while attempting to read from the file: C:\windows\intaller\bdav.msi," so I am trying through their website. Hopefully it will work.

The main question is; is there any permanent damage to my system from this program that I need to worry about? I have gone through various programs in the past and have had to reformat and even replace my hard drive after a bad file, so I'm nervous. Any help/advice/suggestions that anyone could give me would be very helpful.

I am running Vista Ultimate 32bit. Thanks in advance
