I am having a few separate issues with my computer. The first sign was after I ran Webroot Spysweeper overnight, and in the morning, the program was still running and had been for several hours but was only halfway through scanning. The next thing was that my toolbar was locked with language icons on it, my printer was completely gone, and the system restore would not come up. Then my right click features would not work, control panel had me locked out"access denied". So , I deleted Comodo firewall and anti-virus assuming that it was keeping me out of my files, and that let me into my files in control panel. I have had a few problems daily, and cant seem to find a solution. Also, my paste option is grayed out and I cannot click and drag windows, my sound does not work, no speakers or audio, and I cannot re-install my printer??
Please help.

1) Tried to run Malware bytes it would not fully download, I got this error 'runtime error 372 vbalgrid from vbalsgrid6.ocx version outdated.

2) Ran Rooter.exe (Prevxcsi) Threat listed as malicious cloaked malware temp int files\ content.ie5\lhmo0pbh\._file [1].exe

:wink:Thanks for the opportunity to post here. I guess the long and short of it is that I typically don't post and seek help online, but I figured I would record an HJT log and seek help for my office computer on the word of the net, that this was the best and most effective means to a solution. Well, after seeing several posts answered and day after day mine viewed and no response, I have to deduce that it just isn't practical to get a quick and easy solution for any computer problem. Also, this is not the only forum that I posted the same HJT log to, and still the same outcome, no reply!
So, while HJT logs are not for the layman to decipher, their should be a tiny disclaimer when downloading, in the hopes that you will receive an answer in a couple of days or a few days at the most. BE PREPARED and more importantly, BE PATIENT!

This is in no way an attempt at bashing this forum or the people that operate it. I just want to warn the public when expecting an outcome, because HJT log help is very hard to come by when their are literally thousands of posts and even though your HJT may be the shortest of reports, it doesn't mean it is the easiest to fix.

I am wiping my hard drive and re-installing my OS, I have no other choice as time is of the essence with my boss and he can't wait, neither can my pocket book.

Thanks anyway guys, good luck.

Welcome to the BleepingComputer Forums.

Since it has been a few days since you scanned your computer with HijackThis, we will need a new HijackThis log. If you have not already downloaded Random's System Information Tool (RSIT), please download Random's System Information Tool (RSIT) by random/random which includes a HijackThis log and save it to your desktop. If you have RSIT already on your computer, please run it again.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Please post the contents of log.txt.
Thank you for your patience.

Please see Preparation Guide for use before posting about your potential Malware problem.

If you have already posted this log at another forum or if you decide to seek help at another forum, please let us know. There is a shortage of helpers and taking the time of two volunteer helpers means that someone else may not be helped.

Please post your HijackThis log as a reply to this thread and not as an attachment. I am always leery of opening attachments so I always request that HijackThis logs are to be posted as a reply to the thread. I do not think that you are attaching anything scary but others may do so.

While we are working on your HijackThis log, please:
  • Reply to this thread; do not start another!
  • Do not make any changes on your computer during the cleaning process or download/add programs on your computer unless instructed to do so.
  • Do not run any other tool until instructed to do so!
  • Let me know if any of the links do not work or if any of the tools do not work.
  • Tell me about problems or symptoms that occur during the fix.
  • Do not run any other programs or open any other windows while doing a fix.
  • Ask any questions that you have regarding the fix(es), the infection(s), the performance of your computer, etc.
Thanks.
