hi bc,

i gave my neighbor my old Optiplex Gl575 w/win 98. Dail up, 40mb hard drive.

its now infected by everything under the sun. i dl'd the latest build of AVG free and Adaware se.

the 1.4 spybot is currently so buggy, that the optiplex sez the instalation program is corrupt.

need a substitute for spybot S&D.

im trying to dl HJT and get a log to post.

the jist of this post is that;

bc usualy needs us to complete a;
1) current virus program
2) Ad-Aware se
3) spybot S&D

before posting an HJT log.

currently there is no stable spybot S&D program available.

any suggestions?

ty very much,
igo

You can get version 1.3 of Spybot from PCWorld.com.
