Well i am rather new to the computer world and well this is my first real computer. What i know is usually limited to what a read on the net or in magazines. I come to this site because i was searching for a solution to my problem. wll actually two problems. One is that it seems i have been hijacked by antivirus gold and another is these black lines of advertising for some really crude stuff when i open IE. So i hope i will find some help here.

Have you installed, updated, and run Ad-Aware SE?
Have you updated and run your resident Antivirus?

If you have and these have not solved your problems, then post a HiJackThis! log to the appropriate forum, the information for which is here:
