Would anyone be so kind as to point the direction where I may be able to get a bit of help diagnosing a problem with my daughter's 'puter?

If your daughter's computer needs a diagnosis you should post a HijackThis log.
HERE is a totorial on HijackThis.
HERE is a tutorial on how to post a log.

Welcome to BC!
I would suggest you create a post in the appropriate forum, outlining precisely the problem is with the computer, before posting a HJT log. There may be a faster and simpler answer than the log review process.
