Hi, i'm having a problem with a really tenacious bit of adware that recently found its way onto my computer. It runs randomly every few hours or so whenever i open a folder or internet explorer (but not every time i open a window) opening a second window and then bombarding me with scripts trying to get me to download its software and supposedly scanning my computer for viruses. I also suspect that the same program is behind redirecting the links in my search results whenever i use google in internet explorer to different sites advertising similiar products.

Im running XP Home and I've already tried scanning my computer with panda antivirus, searching through my processes when the pop up was running, checking my event viewer and also looking in the services list and I've found nothing. I have a screenshot or two as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest installing running SUPERAntiSpyware.com - AntiAdware, AntiSpyware, AntiMalware! - http://www.superantispyware.com/ AND Spybot Search & Destroy, http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html

These two programs are good at taking care of various nuisances.

Properly update each before using, please.

Louis
