I am merely trying to get an answer to why my google search always redirects to "ToseekA" or some such nonsense. I'd be happy to introduce myself but I don't even know if this is the right place to start??

Welcome to Bleeping Computer.

Please take the time, to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the board works.
If you have any questions about how to use this site, this forum will probably answer them.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There's a lot of very useful information, in there.

Browser redirects are often signs of infection, so I would begin by posting about your problem in the AM I INFECTED? Forum. Be sure to mention what browser you are using, and several examples of the sites to which you are being directed.
Welcome to BC!
