When i put in a cd in the computer the window that usually pops up that gives you the list of options is not opening. I went to this registry setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CDRom and checked the autorun value and it was enabled. Any ideas on what else i can check on this. I am not sure it this happens when i plug in a thumb drive. i left mine at work

thanks

Cd's use autoplay which is slightly different from autorun
That means it will either auto-start the program on the cd or it will start the music
that means it will not show the window, and rather it will start instantly

even when i put in a cd that had multiple files on it the window does not open. like a cd that has a mix different files of music and word docs and other file the window does not open that gives you the option if you want to explore the cd
