my friend and i are attempting to video chat. i have the latest version of AIM and an HP laptop webcam, and she has iChat. when we try to connect, it tells her that there is a connection error. my webcam is working on my end, i can see myself in the video chat window, but she can't see me and i can't see her.

i'm connected to the internet via a Sprint USB aircard...not sure if that is pertinent information.

i've tried turning off my firewall with no luck and i'm starting to get really frustrated. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like the problem is more on her end.
Is there another person that you can chat with to see if it works with them?

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
