Hi

SP3 seems to slow things down considerably on a system with anything less that 1Gb of RAM.
How much RAM do you have.

After updating WinXP SP2 to SP3 on my old P3 with 512 MB Ram, it started to run a lil faster.

You're lucky. My old AMD Athlon 1.4GHz system with 512MB RAM became painfully slow. As it would have proved costly to increase the SDRAM (compared with the cost of DDR RAM which is dirt cheap) I reverted back to SP2.
