I think I covered it in the topics - I am currently receiving help for Virtumonde, and in the recent past had a similar virus - are my data files safe? Virtumonde seems pretty insidious but from what I have read it seems like I should still back up to CD or external... is it just program files/executables that have problems? I am a total computer idiot compared to you folks, so please be gentle with me!

Please only follow the advice of your helper

Don't open any other threads until you are cleaned and you would be better off to ask questions like this one on your HJT thread

I will consider this thread closed

No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.
