i just had this problem yesterday after trying to fix a virus i think i have in userint.exe so i tried to run sd fix and when i went to reboot and i log back in and nothing in my desktop will show up except for the background. i have to go to task manager and do it manually and the desktop will show back up. computer is extremely slow now and my task manager has alot of abcd.exe in the processes tab. i checked my winlogin in my registry and it says explorer.exe like it should. i don't know whats going on. please help!

Terminat all of the abcd.exe's then start a new task, explorer.exe
That should get you to the desktop
Then post in the Am I Infected forum:
