About 3 weeks ago my CD recorder quit working, then I started getting a lot of pop ups. I ran a virus scan and found nothing. Then I found a worm attributed to a photo program in facebook while trying to check my startup programs (I wish there was a simple spot to look them all up, even this site doesn't have half of what is on my computer). I deleted it , and ran another virus scan with Avanquest and windows defender and found nothing. My machine started running a lot. I contacted Avanquest and they had me download a program from trend micro their parent company (I think) and it found 3 Vundo trojans and 2 fakehealer trojans. My machine still kept running, and I had a guy go thru it. He installed Malwarebytes and it found a few more pieces of malware, but I'm not sure what they were, but most of the popups stopped. I installed a new CD/DVD recorder/player and it didn't work. (a code32 error) the computer couldn't find mejuwe... system 32 file. The guy I had working on my computer fixed that, but my computer still runs a lot. It works right (like it used to) for about 30 minutes, give or take, then the red light that comes on like it is doing something, the longer the computer is on, the more it works. The programs I am trying to run go slower too. It also makes the humming sort of sound like it does when it is doing something. I can have Internet unplugged the whole time with me not doing anything on the computer and it still does it. Today it started when the computer was on, but no one was signed in. If I turn it off, even for 5 minutes, it quits running when it starts back up. I have been running at least 1 virus scan a day since this started, and nothing else has been found. What could be causing it to run all the time, and what should I do.
