windows firewall

my problem is about my firewall .....the error says ...windows firewallsetting cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running. do you want to start the windows firewall/internet connection... i tried that and still did not work...

Hello before we can move to different suggestions we need to know if you have scanned for malware and are clean.
Do you have Windows One Care installed?
You have NOT lost your internet connection?
I am also moving this to the AntiVirus, Firewall and Privacy Products and Protection Methods forum.
