Just for your information:

Women and Fishing:
  • 11.9 million women 7 and older fish. That's more than the number who participate in jogging, basketball, volleyball, softball, golf or tennis.
  • Freshwater fishing is the 10th most popular participation sport among women.
  • 26.8 percent of all anglers are female 2 (representing 8 percent of the U.S. female population).
  • The number of women fishing increased 19 percent from 1980 to 1995 compared to 14 percent for males.
I'm just saying that by defining fishing as a man's sport, you are limiting yourself.

Cabela's has some nice guides, but I think you are looking for something more basic:

lol... I wasn't trying to make you look like anything, and I apologize if I made you feel not welcome... we all have to take care to not to stereotype. I just happened to be a tad sensitive about gender issues is all. Anyway, welcome to BC, and I hope one of the links provided was able to help.
