Hello, I'm new here and in need of some help.

The situation as it stands is that I am currently unable to enter any of my administrator accounts for more than 10secs before a blue screen and a computer restart due to some\many trojans, problems with my registry etc. The only account that will stay open is my guest account with no admin abilities or internet connection.

I am more than willing to cut my losses and reinstall windows but I do not have a windows XP disc. I am aware it is possible to create recovery CD's, but I am unable to do this without being able to access my administrator accounts.

Is it possilbe (and I'm guessing it's not) to create recovery CD's on another computer to use on mine without having registration problems?

Hope someone can help or suggest some way of creating recovery CD's

Thanks a lot.

oh and no safe modes of any description work. As soon as windows loads, the blue screen flashes up and then my computer restarts itself. I'm considering dropping it from a sizeable height...

Topic reopened.

Are you able to enter Safe Mode at all?

Edit. I see that you cannot. I'm going to contact someone that knows more about these kinds of problems.

Are you sure that this is a virus issue? If so, you may want use something like the Ultimate Boot CD to boot from, then use the tools on it to scan your system. It's free and located here: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

FWIW - the antivirus definitions are very outdated on the disk, so you may want to do a bit of research on how to update them (I don't know how) before making the disk. Obviously, this will require access to another computer - then you'll burn it all to CD and carry it over to your computer to boot from it.

With the make and model that hamluis requested, we can tell you how to boot from the CD.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
