win xp home problem

when i start my pc, i get only my desktop picture, no icons, no task bar, i read all the solutions but still not getting anywhere. i cant even control+alt+delete. i can however, make it work in safe mode,, whats going on?

i think your explorer.exe is currupt.

Have you tried doing a System Restore?

All Programs > Accessories > System Tools.

try in safe mode.

If your mouse works, go to the bottom of the screen and right-click to open Task Manager
Select Start New Task and type explorer.exe and see if that helps at all
There's a malware bug going around that does this
