I seem to be having some difficulty removing Media Access and another process called P2Pnetworking. I have uninstalled Media access and run Hijack This but, about 15 seconds after rebooting it comes back; there is also a folder full of virus infected archives (C:/Uploads) that keeps reappearing I do not have Kazaa, or any other P2P app, installed at this time. I am posting a HijackThis log file.

On a related note, I am also unable to get rid of a worm called Mugly (bszip.dll) and a BHO (ide21201.vxd) which lives in the System32 folder.

If you could do me a favor. Please go here:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/submit-malware.php
Instead of browsing to the file, just paste in the following path name:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\p2pnetworking.exe

Also make sure to fill out the rest of the information.

Once you have done that, then I will be ready to continue.

Ok... p2pnetworking is Worm/RBot.352112. I didn't know it masqueraded as Kazaa. That's the good news. The bad news is that your system has been backdoored. I think that Ewido Security Suite will clean it up just fine. Download it from here:
http://www.download.com/Ewido-Security-Sui...4-10326287.html

It's only a 14 day trial, but that will be sufficient in getting your system cleaned. Install it, updata the database, and then scan with it. Once it is done, go ahead and uninstall it. You originally picked this up because you don't have a decent onboard AV. That would have saved you this headache. I use Anti-Vir Personal(it's free):
http://www.free-av.com/

Many others like to use AVG (Also free):
http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php

Either one will go a long way to helping prevet future reinfections.

Once you run Ewido, please submit a new HJT log please.

That seems to have done the job; much thanks!
I have also downloaded and installed AntiVir and uninstalled V-Com System Suite which I was previously using for anti-virus. My new log follows:

Just a couple things more to remove with HJT:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {F195A1A9-4033-4E5B-B85C-848C3E31A83A} - c:\syslibie.dll (file missing)
O16 - DPF: {D7BF3304-138B-4DD5-86EE-491BB6A2286C} - http://toolbar.azesearch.com/install/azesearch.cab

That should take care of it. You can uninstall Ewido, and I think that you will be pleased with AntiVir. Other than that, any further problems?

I think I will keep Ewido; just one minor concern with it--Ewido reports DAP as a threat. Is there any way to make it ignore that app during scans? It even comes up when DAP is launched.

You will have to check Ewido options and see if it can be set to ignore. I use it for scanning only, and not as a normal process.
