My computer just told me, and I quote!

Your current security settings prohibit running activex controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly.

What does that mean?
And
How do I change them to suit me?

Is there any chance I might see boobies? (fingers crossed) LOL

Hey,

I presume you are using Internet Explorer. (If not just let me know)
Try the following :
  • Open your Web Browser
  • Go to Tools
  • Then Internet Options
  • Then select Security
  • Click on the Internet
  • Than click Custom Level
  • Under Download Signed Active X Controls click (Enable)or (prompt)
  • Click OK/Yes all the way back out of the settings.
This is also going from memory

*shakes head @ boobies comment*

Yeah, I was looking for the words to a song on a web site. It wouldn't give me the page with the words. Then I did what E~mu said and it worked. On another form like this one I have had a lady try and help me fix some things on my computer for the past three day. Some things we fixed, some things we didn't! At any rate I think I broke her of trying to help me! LOL She is now a patent in a mental hospital I think! LOL I havent heard from here today! To make matters worse she is trying to stop smoking and I've been getting on her nerves with all my jokes! LOL I just don't understand why everyone doesn't love! LOL So to make it up to her I rewrote a song by the miami sound track called smugglers blues! I calles it the smokers blues! Thats why I needed those words. Heres a copy of the song if you want a quick laugh! I hope thats cool? If not someone will delete it I'm sure!

Good morning goddez1,
I hope youíre feeling better today! I know your under a lot of stress so if you want to blow me off for more easier problems to help fix, Iíll understand! You have already gone above and beyond the call of duty as far as Iím concerned. Iíll keep going if you want to but at this point, I canít ask you to!

I donít know if I can get away with this here, but as a parting gift to thank you for all your help I thought Iíd try and put one last smile on your face to show my appreciation for your effort! In light of your new undertaking (quitting smoking) I rewrote a song by THE MIAMI SOUND MACHINE called SMUGGLERS BLUES! I call it THE SMOKERíS BLUES. I HOPE YOU LIKE IT and Again THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP! SEE YA!

THE SMOKERíS BLUES

Theyíll be trouble on the street tonight,
I can feel it in my bones.

I had a premonition,
That she should not quit alone
I knew her pack was empty
But I didn't think she'd kill

Everything exploded,
And the blood began to spill.

So Lady, here's another pack,
Just hold it in your hand.
Here's a brand new lighter,
Just incase you canít quit the way you planned.

She held that pack for hours
But it was more than she could stand.

Well I'm sorry it went down like that,
But the odds are that youíd lose,
It's the nature of addiction,
It's the smokerís blues.

The smokers Blues

The politicians are the criminals,
With these new tax laws,
They rip off and they slip off,
With money nobody saw.

No matter if itís a brand name,
Non menthol, or in a can you can not smash,
You've got to carry weapons
Because it now cost a lot of cash.

Theyíll be lots of shady characters,
Theyíll be lots of dirty deals.
Every name will be an alias
In case somebody squeals.
If weíre caught trying to save money,
Then the courts will rob you like its no big deal.

Perhaps you'd understand it better
Standing in our shoes,
It's the ultimate in addiction,
It's the smokerís blues,

The smokerís blues.

You see it in the headlines,
You hear it every day.
They say itís gonna kill us,
But they canít make it go away.

They grow it on the east cost, and some out near L.A.,
They tax it up and sell it,
I mean itís here to stay.

It's propping up the government, in the state and federal too,
If you complain about the taxes,
Theyíll laugh and say thereís nothing' you can do,
From the office of the President,
Right down to me and you,
Itís up to Me and you.

(shotgun pump)
It may be a losing proposition,
But one we canít refuse.
(shotgun blast)
It's the nature of addiction,
It's the smokerís blues,

Smokerís blues.

Now I'm going to go back and try to redown load the genuine windows thingy mcbob, validation tool, what ever it is! That yellow bar won't pop up at the top and ask me to allow the activex control to be down loaded but maybe now it will. Thanks for helping!

I had no idea thats where the activex controls were!

ActiveX controls are normally stored in the Windows\System folder if you do a search for *.ocx. or they might be on a *.dll format.
