I am using Windows Vista Home Premium SP1. I have HughesNet as my IPS. Web pages have been loading very slowing. When I check at the hughesnet control center I get these messages, DNS Acceleration [N], RTT, and Uplink Queuing. I use Norton Anti-Virus, and Spybot. Neither of these display any type of infection after running, even after running them in safe mode. I found the file ztvunrar.36.dll in my windows system 32 folder and the research that I did on this file states that it should not be there. And when running HJT it will not allow access to my host file. When running spybot I get the message that I do not have administrator rights, when I am logged in as the administrator .Please examine my HJT log and advise.

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. Please note that your topic was not intentionally overlooked. Our mission is to help everyone in need, but sometimes it takes just a little longer to get to every request for help.

If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, we would appreciate you letting us know. If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine. If you have not done so, include a description of your problem, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

Upon completing the steps below a staff member will review and take the steps necessary with you to get your machine back in working order clean and free of malware.

Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results, click no to the Optional_Scan
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet. Information on A/V control HERE

I am sorry for my delay as I never recieved any notification of a reply.

I am still having the same issues and I have recently performed a factory default and started over with a fresh system. So here is my DDS report. I ran HJT and it would not save the report. So please advise of the next step.

Hi misash,

Welcome to BC HijackThis forum. I am farbar. I am going to assist you with your problem.

The logs are all good and the issues you mention don't have anything to do with infection. Those issues are related to Vista and are confusing many users. You are administrator of the Computer and have administrator privileges but the programs don't have by default the permission to run with administrator privileges. The can acquire the permission if you grant them the permission. To do that you can right click the program or the short-cut in the start menu and select "Run as administrator".
