when I shutdown I get the bsod

Hey,

When you boot your machine, press F8 to list the startup options, exactly as you would if you were trying to enter Safe Mode
Select "Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure", as shown here:

When your system BSODs, write down the STOP error code, as well as any written out error message.
The STOP error will always appear, but the error message may not.

well according to my event viewer in my applications section i have the majority of a loadperf error and a securitycenter error. I'll shut down my comp now

Is this the only time that you've received the error? If so, just sit back and wait to see if it fixes itself.
Ensure that you visit Windows Update and get all the Windows Updates.
I'd suspect that there's a fix included in Vista SP1 that could fix this issue.

Try downloading the standalone version from here and then installing.

well, ive been getting it since yesterday

it shows the bsod everytime i shut down, and maybe restart

yea service pack didnt do anything. it says usbhub.sys , that may the problem

Try updating your motherboard/chipset drivers from the website of the manufacturer of your system
