I get these error messages that pop up whilst I am on the Internet. I cannot access my Yahoo email, My hotmail email, facebook account, my Adobe Security Center and Adobe Reader or Acrobat.

These are the multiple error messages that I'm getting:

MsiExec.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience and needs to close.
McAfee Services Same as above
Adobe Reader 9.1 Same as above
SiteAdvisor Same as above

I vaguely remember that an update for javascript appeared on the screen either yesterday or the day before which I updated. I've been experiencing these pop up error messages only from this afternoon. I have windows XP Home edition and need to know if I am infected and what steps I need to take.

If this just started happening today, the first thing I would try is using System Restore or System Restore from a command prompt in Safe Mode to return to a previous state before your problems began?
