Hi, I was wondering which cd this article is talking about:
http://www.cyberwalker.com/article/724/46
It says something about a Vista DVD, is this the installation disc, the recovery disc, or another disc?
Also if you have any other tips about that process, that would be nice, thanks

Installation disk, when you start your computer have the disk in and press "F12" right when you start the computer.
Then go to Onboard c/d drive and press enter, then press any key, let windows load the files, then click next but don't click install now, go down and click repair my computer, then keep pressing next until you get to "system restore".
Or you could just go to start menu and search system restore.

When it says Vista DVD, it is referring to a retail Windows Vista disk, not the disk that comes with a retail computer such as a Dell or HP

So is it possible to reformat my computer if I don't have an actual hard copy (meaning the actual cd) of vista?

Please provide us with the exact make and model of your system.
Also let us know if it came with Vista installed on it originally.
The country that the system was purchased in will also help us at times.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
