My pc fan has been noisy for some time now & I have been searching the web for ways to quieten it. After looking at loads of complicated instructions on what to do, which included replacing various parts of my computer, I installed Speedfan to allow me to monitor my fan speeds & temperatures. I came across the article on this website called "Cleaning the Interior of your PC", bought some compressed air for 3, an anti-static strap & away I went. The instructions were so easy & straightforward & it took about an hour to do it. The results were amazing! My pc is now quiet as a mouse. Before I did this my CPU temp was idling at 55oC & is now idling at 43oC. My fan speed was 2280RPM & is now 1223RPM. Thank you to whoever wrote this article & for BleepingComputer.com for having it on their website.
