Just bought new RAM - not all of it is showing up.

I just bought two more gb's of RAM but when I right click on my computer > properties, it's only showing 2.75gb of ram, why is that?

Edit - I guess I should add that I'm using Gskill RAM, Windows XP Home and Nvida 780i motherboard.

I don't know how much RAM you started with but,....................you have a 32bit OS, video may be claiming some memory stc.

I am a retired Ford tech. Next to Fords, any computer is a piece of cake. (The cake, its not a lie)

3770K @4.5, Corsair H100, GTX780, 16gig Samsung, Obsidian 700 (yes there is a 700)

I started out with 2gb, and my graphics card has 512mb of memory.

I looked how to enable memory remapping in my bios, but there isn't an option.
