RE: Windows XP Home. Startup gets me to User Selection screen. Upon selecting any user, it indicates 'loading personal settings', then flashes the wallpaper, and immediately goes into 'logging off' mode. My only chance of logging onto something is to use the F8 key which gets me to the 'Windows Advance Options Menu'. None of those selections gets me past this problem. I have a 'System recovery/backup' disc but it won't boot up off of that. HELP!

You may need to change the boot order so that the CD-ROM is the first device in the order.

What is the make and model of your computer?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
