OK, I'm not simply posting my ComboFix log as clearly stated in the forum heading. I was going to do so after reading instructions on a guide on using ComboFix... but I'll leave the logs lying low for now.
Issue on one PC was that when booting to Windows XP, it would consistently throw "svchost.exe Application Error" messages and half the Windows Services didn't start. I initially looked into this as an Automatic Updates issue, but then quickly discovered ComboFix and ran the program.
Bottom line is, it stated that it detected a rootkit. When the scan finished, the computer worked. Restarted and checked services - everything is fine.
My question is, is that it? Do I leave it at that or do I need to examine the ComboFix logs more closely and ensure I'm rid of this rootkit or what should I do?
