Hi, I have a relatively new laptop (HP Compaq presario CQ60) running on Vista home basic. This has worked fine until just recently, I downloaded Acid Pro plus a lot of loops (which nearly filled my hard drive), however I burned all the loops to disc and ran Acid pro and it worked fine. The next day my computer started running slow and it has got worse and worse.(It takes up to 10 mins to open a folder and to shut down etc). I have done all the usual i.e. disc clean up, delete cookies, temp internet files etc, I have run anti virus (which found and deleted a couple of trojans) anti spyware and Adaware (which also found and deleted a couple of trojans). I tried to defrag but the computer kept going into sleep mode, which I thought was unusual, so I haven't actually defragged yet (I have changed settings to never let it go to sleep now). I started it up in safe mode and it ran ok. What can I do next? I am now stuck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
