So I found myself here searching for help getting rid of my new favourite friend, the vundo worm. I was all set to run some vundo fixers, give a hijackthis report, and bask in the help of the (apparently very effective, from reading some posts!) help here...

then my compy failed to load because my user32.dll got eaten. I have a suspicion the worm destroyed it on purpose, although really, how's that going to help it spread and do whatever it does? I guess I'll see if I can reload from the XP cd (if I can find it -- my disorganization is my weakness) and try to replace it... or maybe I need to sell my soul and get a new computer.

So now I'm on the family laptop, registering my account and wishing I could post everything to get fixed, and the friendly little box told me to say hi in the introductions forum.
So hi, friendly people!
