Hello, Does anyone know of a free or cheap program that can repair a bad partition in a Western Digital 500 Gig my book external hard drive? An IT tech tells me my files are all intact on this drive, but the partition is bad. It was about a year old and I don't know what happened to the old partition. Thanks

Take a look at Teskdisk. I haven't used it in a while, but it always did good things for me.

Make sure to read all instructions before attempting to use it.
