i think i made a mistake and lost all my files can i get some advice on what to do please.

Please explain exactly what you did that makes you think you lost your files.

Tell us what op system you have.

i have windowsxp and what happen is i think i hit some wrong buttons cause when i was all done everything was in default mode and all mt files were lost

What "buttons"? Where were you when you clicked on them?
