I'm not sure if this will help but when I as windows defender to look for updates I get the following error message (0x80244019). This is the same code I get when I look to download windows updates.

Windows onecare free security scanner found that I had trojan infections all under the same name but I did not write it down so can't add it here. When it got to the registary clean up scan I got the 0x1c600c0f error code message. After reading through there forum entries under this error code there was adive to come hear to find a solution to this problem.

This has also severed my messenger links to my e-mail account and software updater keeps telling me that i'm not connected to the internet when I am. It is also redirecting me to random search engins when I use my bt yahoo search box and clike on spacifice websites that i'm looking for rather than the website I have just selected to be taken to.

hopefully the DDS information that I send with this will help diagnose what is wrong and how to fix it. Just to let you know that this problem did not exist untill three to four weeks ago and nothing I have tryed so far has worked.

Thanks for your time on this issue..

Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
