I just had this chat with a techie:

Welcome 7. Just a Q:
I tried to install Firefox 3.0.7 but MS said it's not a valid Win32 app. Is this true? ( Iíve just had 2 different malware scans that found no infection.)

'Nope not that I'm aware off...you may have a virus or a missing Win32 file...I have installed said update..and had no issue...'

Any opinions?

It could be a corrupted installation caused by a faulty download, try downloading it again.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

I'll second this, this error is common amongst faulty downloads.
