Hello all,

I upgraded to Windows Vista from XP yesterday with a clean install. Unfortunately, Vista seems to want to completely freeze either at the welcome screen or within a few minutes of the desktop loading, and it seems to be doing it earlier and earlier since I first upgraded. My system is more than qualified to handle Vista:

Athlon 64 X2 5600+
EVGA nVidia 9800GTX 512 MB
4GB of RAM
Asrock mobo (cant remember the specs but can get them if you need them)

I am running 32-bit at the moment. Running it in safe mode w/o networking seems to be the only way to prevent this from happening. Any ideas what might be causing this? Thanks in advance!

Have you checked Device Manager to see if all the drivers are installed? If not, go to Start and type in "devmgmt.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
