Email Links Problem

I email the Lions Club newsletter to 125 members. A few say that the link to the newsletter file doesn't work. I've even been told by one that it's not even blue but black. I believe it's some setting in their email program or something their ISP has done to fight SPAM. Can some one give me some guidance as to what to do.

Hello marlbil and welcome to BC.

Some email programs open email as plain text by default, so a link won't be "live". In other cases an Anti-Virus program won't allow a live link. Bulk emails often have instructions for those cases like this one from Panda AV:

NOTE: The address above may not show up on your screen as a single line. This would prevent you from using the link to access the web page. If this happens, just use the 'cut' and 'paste' options to join the pieces of the URL

I would think an instruction to cut and paste if the link doesn't work would cover all the bases. As long as the link is added properly that will work.
