Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could offer me a little help.

I have this problem that arises sometimes when I'm surfing the web. It affects both of my Web browsers (IE and Firefox). The connection is OK. If I were to run another program that uses the Internet (update for virus protection, a peer-to-peer program, iTunes, etc.) they would work fine. The issue only affects my Web browsers. I'm running XP SP3, my Firefox is up-to-date, and my IE (which I rarely use) is version 7. Virus, Spyware/Adware, Malware, HiJackThis! scans all come back clean

What happens is that sometimes when I click/open a certain website, the page tries to load, fails, and the Web browsing stops working completely. I can't refresh or anything like that. All I get is a "Page Load Error." Any other tabs I might have open also quit working. They remain viewable, but if I were to refresh them or try to open a link located on them I would get the same "Page Load Error." Closing the browsers completely and then reopening does not fix the problem. The only solutions I've found is to completely restart my computer, which is obviously a nuisance.

The weird thing though is the type of site that causes this problem. Just about every time I can think of this happening, has been when I've opened a news related Web site (local CBS affiliate, MSNBC, certain newspapers' Web sites, etc.) It's really a crap shoot because I have no idea which sites are going to work and which aren't.

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

According to this, you need to adjust you security settings. It looks like this may require some tinkering.

Also, try resetting (turn off/on) your modem/router
