My son plays Runescape, and when he tried to play it says there is an error, then I get a page that says...

Please read the following text to understand why you are seeing this page
You are seeing this page because we could not start RuneScape on your computer in 'signed' mode. This means that you did not (or were not able to) grant permission to RuneScape to run as it normally does. To avoid seeing this page again, please ensure that you accept the pop-up security warning that appears a few seconds after loading the game. If this pop-up does not appear, try rebooting your machine and make sure you click 'Yes' when asked if you want to trust the RuneScape applet.

Loading and running the game 'unsigned' like this takes much longer, as it must re-download all the content every time you play; you will also be unable to use RuneScape's high detail graphics mode or use the in-game world switcher without reloading the game.

To work around this, you may use this page to manually select a world and then load the game. Please be aware that loading the game from this page will always load the unsigned game, so you should only use this page if you really have no other option.

For further help, please read this article, which can be found in the Customer Support section of our website

My pop-up blocker is off, I clicked on a Play Now button and a window popped up saying...

The application failed to run, click here for details when I did I got another pop up saying

I have also run into Java problems while trying to play Pogo.comand Pogo says...

Java Not Found or Not Working
Explanation:
This error means Java (one of the technologies built into most browsers) is not working correctly on your browser.

You must have Java installed on your computer in order to run Pogo games, and it must be functioning properly. Either you don't have Java installed yet, or the Web browser you're currently using doesn't support Java or you have Java (or Javascript) disabled in your browser.

How to Fix the Problem:
Java is a free download that is required to play Pogo games. Not all computers come with Java pre-installed.

If you haven't played Pogo games before and are getting this error, you probably just need to install Java on your computer.
For instructions on installing Java for your operating system and browser click here.

If you believe Java might be installed but disabled for your browser, please be sure to enable the plugin for your browser. If you need help, click here.

If you already have Java installed and it is not disabled, your Java may be out-of-date or is no longer working. In that case, your Java might need to be upgraded or reinstalled. If you need help, click here.

I have Java Version 6 Update 12 (build 1.6.0_12-b04)...Pogo says

b]For most browsers (especially if you're using Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, AOL 8 or newer, Netscape, or Opera), we recommend using the Java 2 plugin from Sun Microsystems.

I went to the link it provided and re-installed the java and I still get problems.

I followed the instructions on how to make sure java is enabled, but when I went to the Manage Add-On section (like Pogo suggested) I only found one of the two things I was supposed to look for.

...select Manage Add-ons and then Enable or Disable Add-ons.
Make sure the Show drop-down menu at the top is set to Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer.
Scroll through the list below and locate the following add-ons:

SSVHelper Class
Sun Java Console

Make sure both of these add-ons are....
SSV Helper Class is there, but Sun java Console is not.

I hope I can get some help on this. I know Java charges per minute to help with this sort of thing, but I would like to use that as a last resort.
Thank you,
jaysnzees

Hi,
Try going into add/remove programs and removing all versions of Java.

Once you've done that, download the latest Java again, and make sure its enabled.

Also you can visit http://help.pogo.com and open an incident for additional help.

Thank you. I have done that already. I used javaRu to remove all Java and then re-installed. It didn't work then, but i will try it and use the pogo help link.
thanks again
