I want to build myself a new machine. I would like to use the ASUS Rampage II Extreme Mobo. When I talked to the sales person on Tigerdirect, he told me the suggested PSU is 1600 watts...I thought 750 would be enough...I don't plan on putting in 3 video cards, well, not at this time anyway...I will only use a Nvidia 7800 GT for now....I do want the i7 920 Quad Core Processor. I might have 3-4 Hard Drives inside. One for the OS and doc's, the others for storage... I was looking at CMPSU-750TX on Newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817139006 and for the case, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811133062

Any ideas or suggestions would be great..

I didn't know there were PSU's rated for 1600W out. 750W should be more than enough, unless you're planning to SLI some GPUs. I do suggest you change your case to a full ATX tower since they have the room to accommodate large graphics cards, unlike mid-ATX cases.

Suggested full-ATX cases
GIGABYTE 3D AURORA GZ-FSCA1-ANB
NZXT Zero Black/Silver Aluminum ATX Full Tower
GIGABYTE GZ-FA2CA-AJB Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower

Yeah, I found some of those 1600 watt'ers and a little pricey...I like those cases, thanks!! I'll let you know how I make out...it's gonna be a while, need to save up a little more money....
