I have XP Professional SP2. I was running a 'full scan' of C:\ with MalwareBytes Anti-Malware 1.34 and left my computer unattended for a while; when I came back it had a blue screen with the following information:
problem caused by mbamswissarmy.sys
STOP: 0x00000050 (0xE8290008, 0x00000000, 0x87706E8A, 0x00000001)
mbamswissarmy.sys - Address B7706E8A at B7705000, Datestamp 4883d5e3
I have been suspecting that my hard drive is failing due to the fact that for a while it was emitting very strange clicking/spinning noises (a couple of days) and sometimes I turn on the computer and the hard drive isn't detected, but is this error simply due to the MalwareBytes scan (obviously the mbam- file is related to MalwareBytes) or could it be saying that my hard drive is failing as well?
