My computer crashed. I when i got it to restart, it took a few times, but when it did i got a VERY scary message saying that it (the comp) recovered from a failure and gave me the following error log:


BCCode : 10000050 BCP1 : BACC8044 BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 : A955F54D
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 3_0 Product : 256_1

If any one knows what this means your help would be appreciated!!

This is a case of "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA". This means that your memory was trying to write information to your computer and it failed causing the BSOD (Blue screen of death). Usually in this case it is the RAM that is the problem. If you have multiple chips of RAM, try taking them out and putting only ONE in at a time. If it boots fine with one, but not with the other, you can tell it is that chip causing the problem. Replace it after this test (if this test works) and you should be fine. If both chips give you the same problem, post results here.

I'm afraid this is a Win2k/XP/Vista problem, you've posted in the wrong forum, admin should move it for you.

You could always try Safe Mode. :thumbsup:

turning your startup items and services off in msconfig never hurts
or mabye it has melware or some thing
or deleteing C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERe136.dir00\Mini112708-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERe136.dir00\sysdata.xml

may do some thing butttttttt i dnt know much about win xp and vista so wait intill some else says some thing
