I'm still willing to try and clean it up first but its looking grim right now. I've got AVG running and its found that FakeAlert.GL again. What can I do next?

There is something consistent in all the AVG scans, C:\Avenger\(random chars).tmp each time AVG finds anything.

I've run another Malware scan. Results posted below. Looks like the underlying virus hasn't been removed.
