Hello
I am asking this question for a friend, I have directed her to this forum & she did sign up to be a member...
Just thought i would ask for her..

She is running Windows XP on her personal home PC.
She was getting a popup from supposedly Microsoft,,But it was a trojen/back door bot,
I went to Leo Laport's web site for info & which I suggested to her she get 'Malaware' WE sat up all night helping her remove the popup bot. It worked ,,We thought.. :flowers:
The next day, she gets a supposed Microsoft Office update, (Copied & pasted in below) which told her she needed to agree to terms & conditions before it would download...
I said "considering her last disaster with the bot, Don't click anything!!!.
Can you advise if this is a legit update or another Trojen/Bot..
Thanks in advance for your help & support, All answers/help much appreciated.
Great site btw..

Yes it is legitimate and if you ever want to update Microsoft Office you need to download it.
If you are suspicious of the pop-up, go to the Microsoft Office download website:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/download...=CL100570421033
Select your version and check for updates there. You will be prompted to download the tool there
