Hello all,

I am hoping someone can help me out. We have some of our photographs on CD. Now when we insert the disks, we get an error message that reads "the cd rom drive is currently open".

Can anybody tell me perhaps how I can fix this?

I am running Windows XP home SP3

Thanks,

Go to the Device Manager and click on the + just to the left of DVD/CD-ROM to expand the tree, then double click on the drive in question and click on the driver tab and then click on uninstall. Reboot your computer ant when it starts the installation wizard will recognize the drive as new hardware and install new drivers.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
