Can anyone tell me why I can't find an IE5 to download? I have Windows XP with IE7. I have a Microsoft Picture IT program that is stopping on installation at the point it is verifying disk space for IE5. Another box pops up saying "Set up could not retrieve the Microsoft IE 5.0 results. I was hoping I could find a IE5 download to put on my system so I could get this program on. However, in the installation information it says if your computer has later versions of these components than what is on theis dc, the install wizard will leave them alone. By that last sentence and it leaving them alone does it mean it just will not allow it to load?

That is the site that I looked at when I told the person in another post that the closest I could find to it was 4.something and then 5.5. That site does not list 5.0. After looking there the only place I could think of to find it was on an old Win9x disk but as someone else pointed out, it might not be compatible with XP.

According to a website trouble shooting problems with the program the op is trying to install, rolling IE7 back to IE6 should let the program be installed even though it is asking for IE5. Someone else who had the same problem the op is having, was able to install either that program, or another Microsoft Picture It program that was asking for IE5, by doing that.
