Tried to access Itunes and was told I should reinstall the program because files are missing. When I try to install Itunes it tells me it is unable to install because of a Windows Installer problem. When I try to repair the windows Installer program by using the windows installer clean-up it tells me it can't because the Windows Installer program is installed incorrectly and to contact "support" Now what do I do?

I suggest attempting to update to the more current version, it's been available for some time now. It won't hurt and may help.

Download details Windows Installer 4.5 - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en

Well...that was my best idea.

About the only option I can think of that might work...would be running sfc /scannow to attempt to replace the msi.dll file (and any others that may be damaged or missing).

LEARN how to use SFC.EXE (system file checker) in this article! - http://www.updatexp.com/scannow-sfc.html

You need a Microsoft XP CD to execute the above command...and it must reflect the same SP level as your system currently reflects.
