Hi,i am new to this site so bare with me.for the first time ever i have came across a virus that has done a number on my pc,i really do not want to have to restore my pc as i have alot of stuff not backed up and i will never get back.i have been able to get rid of all other viruses i have got,except this one.actually with the use of many different programs (avg free,superantispyware,webcureit,rootkit reveal,windows defender and hijack this)also useing advanced system care pro,ccleaner,bugdoctor and HP uninstaller)i believe i have got rid of the virus however it has messed my pc up,i am unable to open my task manager and it also will not allow me to change my background and has altered my background.when i look in my display properties there has been an html (ahtn) that i have found and deleted many times.please help!!! i do not have the xp pro disk and have seen that some of my files have been deleted or corrupted.i have pc doctor which enables me to restore which i really do not want to do.i am not sure if i am suppost to copy and paste my log files or attach them so i will attach i have the dds report which i will send first if needed or prompted i can submit the hijack this log file and the rootreveal kit log file.tyvm

thank you! but never mind,i'm better then i thought i was!!!
i kicked this viruses ass!not only removeing all the viruses it brought with it but also fixing all the registry problems it made.
my pc is running even better then it was before this backdoor trojan.
wondering if bleeping computer needs any help?

and to all the piece of bleep hackers with no life that send these viruses out,get a fn life why not do something useful and make some money designing programs instead of being the pieces of bleep you are.
i have owned a pc since 93 and can proudly say send me your best virus you pieces of bleep because i have not came across 1 that i can't get rid of.
sorry for the wasted post a rush to judgement and lack of confidence in myself made me do it.NOT ANYMORE!!!!

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, we would appreciate you letting us know. If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine. If you have not done so, include a description of your problem, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

Upon completing the steps below another staff member will review and take the steps necessary with you to get your machine back in working order clean and free of malware.

If you have already posted a DDS log, please do so again, as your situation may have changed.
Use the 'Add Reply' and add the new log to this thread.


Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.
